General

What is BrikSnap?

BrikSnap is a personal instruction archive and set catalog for building set fans. You can store, search, and read building instructions for sets from any brand — LEGO, COBI, BlueBrixx, JMBricklayer, Wange, and more — all in one place.

Do I need an account to use BrikSnap?

You can browse the set catalog, search for sets, and read instructions as a guest with no account required. An account is needed to save sets to your library, upload your own instructions, submit build photos, and vote in photo battles.

What brands are supported?

BrikSnap is brand-neutral by design. We are continuously building partnerships with brick-building brands of all sizes and hope to serve fans of as many brands as possible. If your brand isn't represented yet, let us know.

Instructions

How do I find instructions for my set?

Search for your set by name or set number using the search bar at the top of any page. Open the set detail page and the instructions will be linked there if available.

Can I upload my own instruction PDF?

Yes. Go to Upload Your Manual to attach a PDF to any set in the catalog. Uploaded files are private — only you can see them.

I have a physical manual. Can I still use BrikSnap?

Yes — you can scan it to a PDF for free using your phone. See our scan-to-PDF guide for step-by-step instructions.

My set isn't in the catalog. What can I do?

You can still upload instructions for an unlisted set — just select "Add as new set" during the upload flow and fill in the set details manually. If you believe a popular set is missing, let us know and we'll look into adding it.

Set Identification

What is the Identify feature?

The Identify tool lets you upload a photo of a mystery set or loose pieces and get back a list of likely matches from the catalog. It's useful for thrift finds, inherited collections, or sets where the box is long gone.

How accurate is the identification?

Results depend on photo quality and how well-documented the set is. Clear, well-lit photos of the built set or the box artwork give the best results. Loose pieces without context are harder to identify accurately.

Photo Battles

What is a photo battle?

Each set has a cover photo. A photo battle is a community vote to decide which photo should be the cover — the official catalog render, or a real build photo submitted by a community member. The winner becomes the set's cover image.

How do I submit a build photo?

Open any set detail page and click "Submit a better photo." You'll need to be signed in. Once submitted, your photo enters the submission window where other community members can also submit. After the window closes, voting opens.

What is the submission window?

After a battle is triggered, there is a 72-hour window where additional community members can submit their own build photos to join the battle. Once the window closes, voting begins with all submitted photos.

How long does voting last?

Voting is open for 5 days after the submission window closes. The photo with the most votes at the end becomes the new cover image.

Why can't I vote in a battle?

There are two reasons you might not be able to vote: you need to be signed in, or your own photo is competing in that battle. Submitters cannot vote in their own battle to keep things fair.

What happens to a photo that loses a battle?

Losing photos are archived and visible in the battle history below the set detail. The winning photo becomes the new cover, and losing photos can be challenged again in future battles.

Account & Privacy

Who can see my uploaded instructions?

Only you. Uploaded instruction PDFs are private and tied to your account. No other user can browse or access your personal library.

Is my build photo public?

Yes — build photos submitted for battles are public and visible to all users on the set detail page. Only submit photos you are comfortable sharing publicly.

How do I delete my account?

You can request account deletion by contacting us. We will delete your account and any associated data within a reasonable timeframe. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
